"Macabre" is probably an understatement for these next ads. They certainly get your attention, though. I would not like that.
The superhero ads speak to our tendency to think we are somehow exceptional and not vulnerable to HIV. The message is clear...even Superman isn't exempt.
This one's a little ambiguous--the message reads "So you don't think you can get AIDS?" (I don't have any mastery of French, so feel free to correct me!) Meaning, only those without genitalia are so lucky. It's wrong, of course--needle sharing, breast feeding, blood transfusions are all ways in which androgynous individuals might be at risk...
Yipes.
